Surprise Non-Dog Winner at Pet Parade & Chili Cook-Off Winners

CREA (Coronado Real Estate Association) hosted the 4th annual Chili Cook-Off and Pet Parade at Promenade Park next to the community center. Proceeds of the event went to PAWS of Coronado organization. The event was packed with both chili and pet enthusiasts and prizes were given in many different categories.

Here are the results: of the Pet Parade by category:

Most Handsome Male:

1st Place: Seamus (Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier shown by Megan Stanley)
2nd Place: Tomas (Yorkie shown by Christine Farge)
3rd Place: Clancy (Golden shown by John Watson)

Prettiest Female:

1st Place: Snowflake (Parakeet shown by Ruiz sisters in center – yes, a bird!)
2nd Place: Summer (Golden Retriever shown by Vicky Ingram on right)
3rd Place: Queenie (Newfoundland shown by Patricia Cassanova on left)

Most Gorgeous Senior Pet:

1st Place: Buddy (Yellow Lab shown by Judy Steinfeldt)
2nd Place: Rilly (Cairn Terrier shown by Kathleen Petryshyu)
3rd Place: Juno (English Springer shown by Lisa Bohlken)

Most Beautiful Rescue Pet:

1st Place: Stevie (Terrier Mix shown by Chris Henry)
2nd Place: Sassy (Shiba Inu shown by Fred Eckert)
3rd Place: Roger (Shepard/Husky Mix shown by Ryan Petty)

Best Costume:
1st Place: Kiara (Maltese Toy shown by Mar Kindelan in center)
2nd Place: Tomas the Pope (Yorkie shown by Christine Farje on right)
3rd Place: Sir Ruffles (Schnoodle shown by Jan Savage on left)
