The city of Coronado has such charm it draws me in every time. When I feel I need to get away from the hustle and bustle of busy San Diego city living, I head to this tucked-away, charming beach town. It makes me feel like I am on vacation every time. The beauty and pride of this city is habit forming. Over the years, I have taken rest and relaxtion getaways to this clean, family-oriented beach town that feels like paradise to me.
Upon entering the island, I notice the landscaping of the beach town. It is impeccable. Always something new, beautiful, and unique in landscape designs to feast your eyes upon. Continue driving, I witness another new restaurant sprouting up offering something for everyone’s taste. A wide varity of food selections, one could never be bored. I especially like the unique, fun, interesting, popular clothing boutiques that offer one a great selection of many fashion designs to choose from. And, what about the beach shops to purchase fun beach attire and accessories; beach necessities like bathing suits, beach clothing, surf boards, surfing clothing, etc. If you love art and seek it like me, there are many art galleries on display for the most discerning art collector.
Of course, how could we forget the most famous “Hotel Del Coronado.” My favorite landmark of San Diego. The presence of the hotel is so appealing, it grabs your attention. The white color is pure and elegant. The size is grand and bold. Past memories long gone still linger. New memories are being made every day. The hotel attracts many well-known people, tourists, and of course locals that adore the hotel. It is no surprise people want to be married here. The setting is breathtaking. Situated on the beach, the ocean tides crash into the shore and it is a sight to vividly remember. A sunrise or sunset shows its warm glow. A vision of natural beauty for all to fall in love with the beach.
The beach is a main attraction for both locals and visitors. I enjoy the cleanliness of the beach. People seem to care which is nice. We all want to be surrounded by a clean beach. The ocean waves always show different depending on the tides and weather. The sun warms your soul and the gentle breeze is cool and refreshing.
And, the presence of the military is very much appreciated. Angels who protect our great country with their ultimate sacrifice. I salute all who serve!
Well, what can I say, “I love this beach city.” Many great nostalgic feelings come over me when I spend time in Coronado. A city I will always have a deep appreciation and love for.
