GOLFING
The 360-degree view at the Coronado Municipal Golf Course is hard to beat. You can view the Coronado Bridge to the east, the Hotel Del Coronado and harbor to the east and the bay sweeping the entire south side of the course. The 18-hole course is fully equipped with all of the conveniences to make any golfer feel at ease.
LAWN BOWLING
Coronado has its very own “Coronado Lawn Bowling Club,” with perfectly tailored greens to allow bowlers to master their throws. Recently celebrating 75 years of friendly competition, the club provides competition for all ages and skill sets.
Never played? This easy to learn game is very similar to Bocce Ball. The Club offers lessons at various times throughout the year so you can be out on the green in no time!
PICKLE BALL
Becoming the rage throughout the US, this game is a cross between badminton, tennis, and ping-pong, Pickle Ball has been captivating all types of players, whether eight or eighty-eight. And you can play it outside yearlong in Coronado. The City of Coronado Tennis Center holds drop-in matches most Saturday afternoons or at the High School courts on Wednesday evenings.
WHALE WATCHING TOURS
Each December to March marks the height of whale season in San Diego County. With over 25,000 gray whales migrating from the Arctic to the warm waters of Baja and back, chances of seeing one of these majestic creatures is pretty high. Consider one of the many whale-watching tours out of the San Diego Bay. Running into a (or several) pod of whales on a whale watching adventure is one of the most exhilarating experiences out on the bay!
POOLSIDE LOUNGING
