Dear Coronado Authors and Writers,

On behalf of the Coronado Cultural Arts Commission and the Coronado Public Library, I am pleased to invite authors and writers to participate in Coronado’s celebration of Indie Author Day and a Coronado Author Showcase. This one-day celebration of Coronado’s writers and those who write about this beautiful place will take place Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the Coronado Public Library.

Plans for the event are under development, but the programs will

  • showcase and celebrate local authors
  • connect local authors with local audiences
  • connect writers with tools and resources
  • inspire readers and writers and remind us what we love about stories

If you are interested in participating in the day, please email Commissioner Lei Udell by September 1, 2018, and include information on how you would like to participate. Also, please provide your name, email, phone and website if you have one. The Commission will contact you before September 15 with more information.

Ways in which you may participate include:

  • participate as a panelist in a panel discussion
  • have a table to sell your books
  • give a presentation or workshop for unpublished writers
  • give an audience reading

More information about the events and the schedule will be available in September. In the meantime, please keep an eye on CoronadoARTS.com for updates as well. If you have not already done so, I encourage writers/authors to create a profile on CoronadoARTS.com.
