Calling all Veterans! Forming Veterans Writing Group

Are you a veteran?  Do you have a story you’d like to tell? Do you have an interest in writing but are not sure where to begin?  In partnership with the Coronado Public Library, the Veterans Writing Group of San Diego County is forming a South County Writing group to provide a forum for veterans to share their writing.

The Veterans Writing Group comes together once a month for personal growth, professional development and sometimes just to share. We will have guest mentors and writing instructors to provide the means to develop writing skills and learn from each other but most importantly to become connected. The idea is to bring veterans together and guide them through the writing process in a safe and understanding environment enabling them to tell their stories.

The Coronado Public Library invites all veterans from every conflict and all writing levels to participate. If you are interested in giving us a try (we might have to hold our first few meetings online) please send an email to  before May 20, 2020. Once we have enough interest, we will be back in touch to share the next step! For more information on the group, visit their website:
