Warrior Flask – A Company Started with Purpose

A couple with entrepreneurial spirit, based in Phoenix, Arizona, but with local ties to Coronado, launched a business last November that is growing fast, largely in part due to the purpose behind the business. Niki Jensen and Austin Stanton wanted to start a business that not only provides a quality product, but also gives back in some way, and when they decided to launch Warrior Flask, they chose warriors, members of the military, to give back to.

Warrior FlaskThe product idea stemmed from Niki and Austin’s desire to keep their drinks cold all day in the Phoenix heat. They tried different water bottles on the market but wanted to start their own brand. It took 6-8 months of testing different bottles before settling on the double wall, stainless steel, vacuum sealed Warrior Flask. Once they found their product it was time to develop the concept that would recognize the military in some way. Niki has a cousin serving in the Marine Corps at the Marine Corps Recruiting Depot in San Diego and shared, “I have a lot of family in the military and it is very close to my heart.” Niki appreciates the service and sacrifice made by military members and was determined to find a way to say Thank You.

For every flask sold on the Warrior Flask website, one flask is donated to a member of the military. The purchaser of the flask can write a personal note that will be delivered with the flask to the service member. The website explains: “We give to any active duty, or veteran service member. They may be overseas, or next door. We keep a roster of who has received the flasks, and who hasn’t yet, and we strive to get a flask in every service member’s hands to show a token of our appreciation for what they do on a daily basis.” Warrior Flask recently sent a shipment to an Air Force Unit of about 40 Airmen to Kabul, Afghanistan, and were pleasantly surprised to receive a photo and thank you note from the Unit.

Niki and Austin also wanted to find an environmentally friendly product that would reduce toxins and remove waste from the environment. The Warrior Flask bottles are BPA free, lead free and plastic free, and reduce the waste that comes with plastic water bottles. This weekend we celebrate Earth Day, recognizing the value in taking care of our planet and bringing awareness to efforts that support environmental protection. From beach clean up to recycling, everyone can do their part to sustain the environment, and reducing waste in the form of plastic bottles is a great way to support those efforts.
