“Fashion is art,” says Penny Rothschild, owner of Emerald C Gallery, Ruby P Gallery, and H.E.R., the newest women’s fashion retail boutique and only high-end consignment shop in Coronado. “We have something for every-body.”
Located in the loft of Emerald C Gallery, H.E.R. is a sweet and quaint space that boasts of personality, style, and quality fashion.
“I want customers to feel like they are shopping in their friend’s closet,” says Rothschild.
“We are going to be installing a chandelier, an additional dressing room, and full-length and shoe mirrors,” says Rothschild. “My goal is for everyone to enjoy their shopping experience and find something that speaks to them.”
“We’ve got a plethora of sizes and name-brand apparel for everyone,” says Rothschild. From Cavalli jeans to Nordstrom brand, Vercassi, Prada, and Stuart Weitzman, shoppers can find reasonably priced items that add classic staples to their closets without emptying their wallets.
With a soft-opening just two weeks ago and marketing through social media, Rothschild says the shop is already flourishing.
“We are already seeing a great response from the community,” says Rothschild. “I want tourists, and, most importantly, the community to have a place to recycle their apparel and have other people buy it.”
“I know some of the prices are high, but we are willing to work with customers on finding the right price,” says Rothschild. “It’s all within reason. This is something new for Coronado, so we are all learning together.”
H.E.R. isn’t just a consignment boutique for apparel. In fact, you can purchase fine jewelry, watches, sunglasses, shoes, and handbags from the store, as well.
If you are interested in consigning some of your high-end fashion for a 50/50 split, Rothschild asks that you contact her, so she can setup an appointment with you to review and tag your items. Likewise, if you are interested in purchasing high-end retail from H.E.R., walk-ins are welcome, as are customers who want to schedule a private shopping experience.
The loft has seen a metamorphosis over the past few years. From starting out as an overflow room for the gallery, to becoming a storage room, an office space, and now a high-end resale shop, the space has really ‘come into it’s own’ following it’s newest makeover.
