Coronado Adult Education is in Cahoots with Line Dancing

Line dancingLooking for an alternative to watching City Council meetings or political debates? Need a fun way to increase the number of steps on your Fitbit?  Are you planning a Caribbean cruise over the winter and want to join the dance party on the pool deck?  Will you be attending a wedding in the next six to twelve months and want to know how to do “The Electric Slide” or “Cupid Shuffle”?  Want to bust some moves at next summer’s Concerts in the Park?  Looking to meet new people?

You don’t need to travel to Mission Valley to learn how to line dance. Coronado’s adult education program offers line dancing on Tuesday evenings at Coronado High School from 5:30-7:30pm.     Like music? Learn line dances choreographed to all genre of music – from traditional country songs such as “I Like Beer,” popular songs like “Blurred Lines” or “Happy,” or oldies like “Mustang Sally” or “Gloria.”  Dance steps include the Lindy, Cha Cha, Rhumba, and Charleston.  Line dancing is a very low impact and fun way to get more exercise.

The beauty of line dancing is you don’t need a partner – singles or couples can all enjoy this fun way to dance. Beginners are very welcome to sign up for the next session that runs from October 20 through December 15.  Individuals with two left feet are also encouraged to join. Your dancing is guaranteed not to be ridiculed on the Late Late Show with James Corden.  Register online today—the Class is FA111-02, Line Dance 2.  Seniors over 60 get a 10% discount on the enrollment fee.
