Saturday, April 5th: The ship commissions at 10:00 AM at Pier Juliet. The public is invited but tickets are required for security purposes. Enter the base at the VADM Stockdale Gate coming in from Third Street and follow the signs to the parking area. You are encouraged to arrive at 8:30 AM to allow time for security screening. Following commissioning, a reception will be held on the pier and tours of the ship will be available.
NOTE: It’s not too late to take part in this historic event. If you need tickets or want to make a donation, go to the Commissioning Committee website at http://www.coronadocommissioning.net/. You may also purchase a yard sign at the Coronado Historical Association at 100 Orange Avenue. The proceeds from your purchase will go to support the commissioning.
