Did you make it out to the “secret” concert on the beach last night? If you didn’t, you missed out on one of the most public “private” concerts Coronado has ever seen.
Tim McGraw was hired by Zaxby’s (a Georgia-based franchised chain of restaurants) to perform a private concert on the beach property in front of the Hotel del Coronado. Zaxby’s had been holding their corporate offsite at the hotel which coordinated the event. The beach property near the hotel is private property and was fenced off for the event. The property of the Del ends near the middle of the beach and it became a “sand grab” for space at a “free concert” for those wanting to enjoy Tim McGraw and the beach of Coronado. And boy did they!
Once the stage was set up on the beach, word spread that a concert was going to be held. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and other social media helped to spread the news that Country superstar Tim McGraw was playing live on the beach in Coronado – and everyone showed up!
