CHS HOSA Club Forms COVID Team

Submitted by the Coronado High School HOSA Club

HOSA is a club at Coronado High school that is fun and open to all interested students. HOSA stands for Health Occupation Students of America. If students see a medical career in their future, want to generally learn more about human health, or just want to have fun and meet new people, then this may be the club for them.

Obviously this year has had setbacks for everyone so the club cannot hold some of its usual events and meetings, but we are trying our hardest to work around the obstacles. Club members realize it’s difficult to get a good understanding of what is going on in the world right now with the coronavirus. Due to this, we’ve organized a HOSA COVID-19 news team. Every two weeks or so we will update the public with information about the coronavirus in the United States as a whole, California, and San Diego County. These short updates will be in The Coronado Times or the Coronado Eagle & Journal.

We hope these updates can successfully inform you about the pandemic going on right now and also motivate you to be extra cautious so you and your loved ones can stay safe until we know it is 100% secure to go back to our normal lives and routines.

For more information about the club, go to our Instagram (@coronado.hosa) and feel free to ask questions or just get a better understanding of the club.
