“Democracy, Local Roots, and Global Impact” at the John D. Spreckels Center

The San Diego Diplomacy Council is organizing a Global Social Hour on Thursday, October 5th, titled “Democracy, Local Roots, and Global Impact” at the John D. Spreckels Center in Coronado. The City of Coronado’s Mayor Richard Bailey will welcome a delegation of mayors, congressional representatives and other government experts from 20 countries.

Community members are invited to attend the event and engage with the international visitors and other globally-minded San Diegans. The international delegates will be visiting San Diego under the auspices of the U.S State Department’s International Visitor Leadership Program and are from Belize, Brazil, Burma, Croatia, Ethiopia, Guyana, India, Israel, Kenya, Macedonia, Nepal, Nigeria, the Philippines, Russia, Slovakia, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, and Venezuela.
