Humans of Coronado is a photo series where we “bump” into residents and visitors around the “island,” completely unplanned and unfiltered. It was inspired by Humans of New York. Next time you are out and about around town, you may just find yourself part of the next HOC series!

“The tradition is to always go back home to Arkansas. Most of my family is there. Preparing Thanksgiving dinner with my mother side by side is my favorite tradition. We do that every year!”
“I was in San Francisco. My son is up there. He is a Berkeley graduate so we went out there and spent a day. The students weren’t there so we walked around.”

Alyssa is a graduate of Coronado High School and was in the founding broadcast journalism class at CHS. She earned her BA in Communication from CSU East Bay and completed her MBA from CSU San Marcos. Her passion for writing and interest in the behind the scenes of business, leads her to write frequently about Coronado businesses.
