Quick Tip #3: An Open House

So what to do for Christmas? Do you go about putting together the Holiday Party? How about an Open House. A Holiday Open House (you can do this anytime of the year) is a great way to include all your family and friends without the need for a formal party and function. This a great opportunity to invite everyone and not feel as though you need to lay down all the trimmings. An Open House allows you to send out a general invite to everyone you want to visit with. This is an informal event in which you open your house for 2-3 hours for all to come by and say hi. There does not have to be an Evite or invitations, so no RSVPs are needed. Usually a general email as well as a personal invite when you see people is all that is required. This puts no pressure on your guests to put aside an entire evening and leaves you the ability to shut the door when your eyes get heavy. With any formal party, what food to showcase can leave you feeling broke. This is one advantage of an Open House. All that is needed is some great finger foods and a few drinks. Afterall people will be coming and going, so you want to be able to have the food sit out for a few hours.
