Public Safety Personnel to Host Brief 9/11 Remembrance

Coronado Firefighters, Police, Lifeguards and local military personnel are set to gather at Fire Station 36 early on the morning of Sunday, Sept. 11, for a brief 9/11 memorial ceremony. Coronado’s first responders will mark the attacks of that day starting at 6:53 am with an invocation, a moment of silence and a symbolic ringing of the station’s bell. The ceremony, which will conclude with bagpipes, is an opportunity to remember the nearly 3,000 people who died in the terrorist attacks.
