North Island Naval Air Station has their own Starbucks as of last week. We aren’t sure who’s happier – the Sailors heading to their jobs on base or the Coronado residents who will be waiting in shorter lines at the 960 Orange Avenue Starbucks location and Cafe 1134.
Currently, the hours of operation are 4:30am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, although they are subject to change to meet customer demands.
The new Navy Starbucks is located across the street from the Lima Pier on Quay Road. It features an open lounge area, Wi-Fi, a large screen TV and assorted snacks and beverages.
Profits will benefit the Navy’s Morale, Welfare and Recreation Division, which offers social and community activities for active-duty, reserve and retired Navy personnel and their families.
