A Special Lecture on Cuba at Coronado Library

October 3 from 11am-1pm                        Winn Room

Henry George, Engineer, Archaeologist and Geologist will share his knowledge of Cuban architecture and culture. Since the softening of US/Cuba relations, archaeologists are able to learn more about Cuban archaeology. The eastern part of the island has examples of pre-Colombian inhabitants up to the Neolithic age. The western end of the island around Havana has excellent examples of historical archaeology from early Hispanic architecture and from sites where slaves escaped and lived as hunter gatherers. This lecture presents an interesting view of a most unusual culture. Refreshments will be served. This program is free and open to the public thanks to the Friends of the Library.
