I’ve been a New York City resident for over 40 years, and own a summer property here [in Coronado]. I am utterly shocked at the verbal abuses I’ve experienced here this summer–things that New Yorkers would never say to someone.

At your high end grocery, Boney’s, [on Monday]–a man pushed me out of his way to order, said–“Oh, did I go ahead of you?–well, you can live with it.” This borders on violence–and is only inflicted upon women. New Yorkers would never show such utterly deplorable behavior. They are too busy for that kind of abuse. You need to make clear to Coronado residents this behavior is not allowed – or perhaps you don’t care. I, and thousands of women, know better, especially in more sophisticated eastern cities. Shame on you Coronado for not having the balls to treat women and all people as humans!!!!
