Update: Second Suspect Arrested in Coronado Which Wich Robbery

UPDATE August 23, 2017 – 2nd Arrest Made in Sandwich Shop Robbery

Late this afternoon, Detectives arrested a second suspect in the July 31st Which Wich sandwich shop robbery. Miquel Angel Santana, 18, was arrested at his home in Chula Vista. Santana is charged with robbery, false imprisonment, and assault with a firearm.

Santana’s accomplice, Ricardo Damaso Mayou was arrested late last week for the crimes. His bail was set at $360,000.

August 21, 2017 – Ricardo Damaso Mayou, of Imperial Beach, was arrested for the armed robbery of Which Wich Sandwich shop in Coronado on July 31, 2017. Mayou and a second suspect, who remains at-large, entered the sandwich shop after closing and ordered the employees to open the safe. Mayou is a former employee of the business who quit two weeks prior to the robbery. Mayou was charged with robbery, false imprisonment, and assault with a firearm.
