Chances for Children (CFC) Looking for New Members

CFC is looking to expand their membership and they welcome anyone who has a desire to help children in need. The next meeting is September 21st.

Chances for ChildrenInterested in learning more about a fantastic local group that supports children? Consider attending Chances for Children’s (CFC) upcoming meeting on September 21st. CFC’s mission is to provide assistance to children in need and they accomplish this in a variety of ways.

Each December they conduct a toy drive that benefits the children of Father Joe’s Villages. In fact, this past Christmas they celebrated their twentieth toy drive! For many years they have also supported San Pasqual Academy, a residential high school for foster teens, by providing funds to their agriculture program.

This past year CFC has broadened their support to include Coronado’s Silver Strand Elementary. CFC sponsored two children in Strand’s music program and they also provided monetary support for Operation PALS, which provides after school mentoring and homework assistance for kids in grades K-1 whose parents are deployed.

CFC is looking to expand their membership and they welcome anyone who has a desire to help those that most need it. For information about membership and/or the location of the September 21st meeting, please contact Molly Korson at (619) 808-6610 or by email at [email protected].
