Bruce was known for his passion for living, exploring, experimenting, laughing and sharing the world with his son, Austin.
He passed away unexpectedly on October 29, 2015 in Arroyo Grande, California. He was doing what he loved when he passed, working on a rooftop deck overlooking the ocean.
Born in Hollywood in 1950, Bruce had an early passion for travel and exploration, something he learned from his own family. He traveled the world, forging friendships, and then settled in San Diego in 1970.
As a professional, he invested more than thirty years in the field of construction and real estate development – combining his love and interest of working with his hands, with design, architecture and computers.
In 1995, Bruce moved to Coronado, and married Karien Bennett. The two were active members in the Coronado community, especially after the birth of their son, Austin.
After the death of his wife, Karien, Bruce and Austin relocated to Arroyo Grande.
Bruce’s sudden passing has been a shock, but he will be remembered with fondness, warm memories and love by his many friends all over the world, and by those who survive him – his son Austin Bennett, his sister, and his step-daughters Elloise and Lecinda Bennett.
