Emerald Keepers in search of an Executive Director

Emerald Keepers is looking to hire a passionate environmental advocate to lead the organization into its next phase of development. The part-time position requires a strategic thinker and skilled communicator who will be responsible for executing the nonprofit’s mission.

“We’re looking for more than someone to manage an organization. We’re looking for a leader who sees possibilities, builds relationships, inspires volunteers, and turns good ideas into meaningful action,” said Dave Landon, Emerald Keepers board president. “Emerald Keepers has an ambitious mission and a dedicated board, but our greatest opportunities still lie ahead. The right executive director will have the initiative, energy, and commitment to help us realize those opportunities and expand our impact throughout Coronado.”

The grassroots organization, founded in 2019 by current Coronado Councilmember Amy Steward, is dedicated to promoting environmental sustainability through education, action, and leadership.

The executive director will manage day-to-day operations, direct existing programs, lead fundraising efforts, and be the public face of the organization. The ideal candidate has five-plus years of professional experience in nonprofit management, environmental advocacy, or related fields, along with demonstrated success in fundraising and donor retention.

This is a flexible, hands-on position for a highly self-directed, motivated individual.
