A group of Coronado residents invite others to join them playing chess twice a month.
- On the second Thursday, the group meets at 3 pm at the Coronado Library, 640 Orange Avenue.
- On the fourth Wednesday at 4:30 pm chess players convene at the John D. Spreckels Center, 1019 7th Street.
They are a varied group who meet to play and learn the game of chess. Player skills range from beginner to more seasoned players. These sessions are free and open to the public.
