About the Musician:
Rick Ross, multi-talented pianist, saxophonist and vocalist performs a vast array of music with vocal styles from jazz standards to Broadway, pop and classic rock tunes. A native of Indianapolis, Indiana, Ross attended Cornell University in New York, where he received a BA Degree in German Area Studies. He also earned a Master’s in Hotel Management from Cornell. Rick Ross first pursued his musical calling as a saxophonist performing in jazz bands and ensembles including the Indianapolis Symphonic Orchestra. He began to hone his performance skills while studying abroad in Germany, playing sax in a Latin band and solo piano engagements in the university town of Göttingen. He returned to the United States to complete his college degree and soon became a regularly featured performer for events on Cornell campus. After receiving his Master’s Degree, Rick worked for the InterContinental Hotel in San Diego. However, it wasn’t long before he left his career in hotel operations and created his one man show on piano, sax and vocals. A uniquely versatile musician, Rick Ross adds a compelling ambiance to any special occasion.
