Naval Base Coronado: Community Concerns Hot Line

Naval_Base_Coronado_emblemOn October 24, the Naval Base Coronado (NBC) announced that it will change the existing Noise Complaint Program to a Community Concerns Program. This change will transition NBC away from a single issue – noise – to a broader context; thus providing an avenue for the community to provide concerns or comments on many different issues.

NBC will activate the NBC Community Concerns Hot Line on Monday, October 24. The new Hot Line is a voice mail system designed to allow members of the community to provide a detailed message regarding any concerns or comments associated with operations at any of the eight installations* associated with NBC. In addition to providing the community with a single telephone number; this process allows NBC staff the opportunity to review the message and direct the concern or comment to the correct department.

The NBC Community Concern Hot Line number is (619)545-8847.

On the same day, the NBC Noise Complaint web page will change to the NBC Community Concerns web page. The basic construct of the web page will remain; however, the section for “Nature of Incident/Comments” will change to reflect the desire to receive concerns and comments. Recognizing that some of the concerns of the community are directly related to aircraft operations at Naval Air Station North Island and Naval Outlying Field Imperial Beach, the web page will retain a section to provide information regarding the Type, Color, and Number of Aircraft associated with any concerns or questions.

The NBC Community Concern web page will be:
