Get Fired Up for Oysters

Bluewater Boathouse is getting fired up for their October tasting event, with a dozen fire-roasted oysters served up three ways: Pacific Rim style, Provencale style, and original Mendocino style. Get 'em while you can! Seats sell out quickly, so reserve yours today.

October means oysters at all seven Bluewater Grill, Bluewater Avalon and Bluewater Boathouse Seafood Grill restaurants – specifically, sustainably harvested oysters roasted three ways and paired with hand-selected Firestone beers and wine for the perfect fall indulgence.

  1. Pacific Rim-style, with Thai green curry, coconut milk and lemongrass
  2. Provencale-style, with bread crumb, Parmesan cheese, butter, garlic and fresh herbs
  3. Original Mendocino-style, with spicy-sweet barbecue sauce

All served with a High Spot 14 Mile Pale Ale on draft or glass of Kungfu Girl Riesling. The price is $24.95 per person for the main 6:30pm seating.

Offered on the second Tuesday of every month, Bluewater Grill’s monthly tasting events allow seafood aficionados to combine the latest seasonal fresh fish varieties with hand-selected wine, beer or sake and commentary by the restaurant’s resident seafood experts. The result has become a popular monthly diversion for Bluewater Grill’s large fan base.

Throughout October, resident Bluewater chefs and seafood experts will be available to discuss the latest oyster preparation techniques, recipes and regional trends. Advance reservations are encouraged as the monthly tasting events tend to sell out.

Seafood fans unable to attend the Oct. 11 events can order a Fiery Mendocino Oyster plate off the menu throughout the month, and pair it with beer and wines on the bar menu.
