Coronado Recreation employee Mindie Drummond, 37 years young, lost her battle with colon cancer earlier this week. She leaves behind two small children and her husband, Charles, who works at Public Services.
The Drummonds live in Imperial Beach so some of you may know them through school and sports activities. A close friend of the family set up a GoFund Me page to help with medical bills, and now, funeral arrangements. As most of you know, health insurance does not cover all costs. Any donation, prayers and thoughts are welcomed.

The Coronado Community Center, where Mindie worked, will be hosting a Celebration of Life for her this Wednesday, March 30.
Thanks to the generosity of Village Pizzeria, there will be a dine 2 donate fundraising event on Tuesday, April 5 to help support the Drummond family.
