On June 5, 2017 a crowd gathered aboard the USS Midway, now serving as a museum in San Diego Bay, to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Midway. Veterans and survivors of the battle were in attendance for the ceremonies honoring all of those that served during the June 4-7, 1942 battle.
