The new selfie station at Coronado Art Walk this weekend has gone viral with the hashtag #BeApartOfTheArt (Instagram — Twitter — Facebook)
There was a long line all day Saturday to get a photo within the beautiful patriotic wings. Local artist Peggy Irvin was commissioned by the Coronado Historical Association to create this interactive art piece. Visitors found it especially poignant this weekend as it’s San Diego Fleet Week honoring our military and Sunday is the 15th anniversary of 9/11. Coronado’s mayor and other local official officials have been invited to stop by for their photo ops. Art Walk is open from 10am – 5pm on Sunday.
