Stacey Lied Welsh (1968-2016)

Stacey Lied WelshStacey Lied Welsh, 47, passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack at her home in Coronado, California on Saturday, February 6, 2016.

Born in Ephrata, Pennsylvania on October 9, 1968, Stacey was the treasured daughter of June Lied Krafft and the late Eugene R. Lied.

She was married to John A. Welsh in 2005 in Positano, Italy.  They have one nine-year-old daughter, Addison Paige Welsh. A devoted mother, Stacey shared her love of travel, culture, art and adventure with her husband and daughter by traveling to Italy, France and England. Stacey was also able to enjoy sixteen years of family vacations with her mother, stepfather, brothers and their families.

She was a well-loved member of the Coronado community, where she was especially known for her welcoming nature, endless kind gestures and sincere expressions of love and interest in the lives of others.

Stacey was a graduate of Cocalico High School and The Pennsylvania State University, where she majored in Real Estate. She received her Masters Degree from San Diego State University. As a professional, she held jobs in Philadelphia, Las Vegas and most recently helping her husband with his businesses.

In addition to her husband and daughter, she is survived by her mother, June, and stepfather, Arnold Krafft; two brothers, Scott Eugene Lied (wife Anita) and Brent Eugene Lied (Cristiane Dos Santos) both of Denver, PA. She is also survived by four nieces, Olivia, Kendra, Margot and Savannah; one nephew, Brennan, and countless extended family members.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Stacey’s life at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Spreckels Park across the street from 621 C Avenue, Coronado, CA.  All are welcome.
