Coronado Police Officer Brian Hardy was honored at the San Diego County Board of Supervisors meeting today for his part in starting and working annually on a Christmastime Teddy Bear drive that has grown into a regional effort to bring stuffed animals to every child at Rady Children’s Hospital all year.

Hardy, who retires at the end of the month, was given a proclamation for his outstanding public service and leadership and for his commitment to the wellness of area children. Today, December 15, was declared “Officer Brian Hardy Day” throughout San Diego County. Congratulations, Officer Hardy, and to all those local and regional officials who have participated in the San Diego Regional Law Enforcement Teddy Bear Drive!
