Before & After: From “Brown Stucco” to “By-the-Bay”

Not exactly a Coastal Look
Not exactly a “coastal” look.

Coronado Design/Builder, Flagg Coastal Homes was approached by the owners of a brown stucco home on the 200 block of E Avenue to transform their home into a “Coastal Gem”.

Designer, Dorian Lytle and The Flagg TEAM, added a new inviting front porch, removed the stucco siding and replaced it with long-lasting concrete composite siding, added windows, revised the roof line and added a new welcoming front door with sidelights. Now….on a roll with enthusiastic owners and a “Coronado Coastal Vision”, Flagg re-worked the living room, kitchen and family room inside, replaced single-pane windows throughout and created a very neighborly landscaped front yard complementing the porch.

In keeping with Flagg’s custom, the building team ordered a hand-carved, gold-leafed quarter board sign from Cape Cod; and the owners proudly named their house By-the-Bay.

Be sure to walk or bike by 249 E around sunset and chances are you will see Dan, Charissa and their lab, enjoying their evening “Treats”.

Congratulations to Dan and Charissa, for their vision and contribution specifically to the street scene on E and the overall charm of our island town………”they’ve earned their (house) name”
