Do you know that there will be 14 state-wide propositions on the November 3 ballot? How can a person make sense of all this?
Dr. Carl Luna, a distinguished professor of political science, will discuss the measures that cover a wide range of topics such as housing bonds, homebuyer loans, healthcare funding, rules governing local taxes, a tax on billionaires, limits to taxing wealth, and other proposals.
Dr. Luna’s career includes teaching at Mesa Community College and USD, recognition as one of the top 5 community college professors in the country in 2014, and serving as co-chair of the Restoring Respect, an initiative to promote civility in San Diego. He’s also president of Friends of the Coronado Public Library.
His presentation will take place Sunday, September 20 at 9:05 am in Hinde Hall at Christ Episcopal Church, on the corner of Ninth Street and C Avenue, and is open to the public.
