Major Wine Regions of California

July 18 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Free and open to the public

How is it that Napa Valley produces excellent Cabernet Sauvignon but lacks Pinot Noir of great heritage? Mendocino grows wonderful white grape varieties but cannot produce world-famous red wines. Sonoma produces outstanding Zinfandel, but wine judges look the other way at the cabernet. Wine expert Eric Awes has over forty-years of experience in the industry. This class will familiarize you with the six major California grape-growing regions to aid you in making the best choices when purchasing California wines. Whether or not you are a wine drinker, Eric’s presentation is sure to fascinate and provide a look at what really happens in the industry, as well as what to look for when selecting a fine wine. Attendees will receive a coupon for wine tasting at Coronado’s local Wine A Bit shop to sample wines from around the world and put their newfound knowledge to good use!
