Health through Music

Did you know that music can provide various health benefits? Discover them at the John D. Spreckels Center! Sharp Coronado Hospital will present “Music for Wellness” on Thursday, August 15, from 2-3 p.m.

A music therapist from Sharp Coronado Hospital will lead this interactive, free presentation. According to Sharp’s Arts for Healing webpage, “Music therapy can help reduce pain and anxiety, improve well-being, and promote personal reflection.” Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a group music-making activity using hand-played percussion instruments. No previous experience is needed for this enjoyable and informative session.
