Friends & Family Speaker Series: PTSD

In partnership with the Coronado Public Library, this FREE presentation will focus on the impact of PTSD on family members and caregivers, and how loved ones can identify a need for more help. Our speaker is LT Julianne Demery, PsyD, who is a wife, mother, and Clinical Psychologist. She is a U.S. Navy Clinical Psychologist, Division Officer for Adult Outpatient Mental Health in San Diego, and specializes in trauma treatment. She is aware first-hand of the impacts that combat-related trauma has on family members, friends, and coworkers. Her husband’s aviation unit deployed multiple times to the Middle East and they, their coworkers, and friends have dealt with the impacts of combat exposure, PTSD, and suicide.
