The Coronado Democratic Club will host a public forum for candidates seeking election to the Coronado Unified School District Board of Trustees on Saturday, September 19, at the Winn Room of the Coronado Public Library.
The four qualified candidates are Alexia Palacios-Peters, Mal Sandie, Peggy Duncan, and Kaye Schneider. All have been invited to participate in the forum.
The Club is pleased to announce that Bruce Shepherd, former CUSD Trustee and longtime Coronado resident, will serve as moderator. His experience with the Coronado Unified School District and familiarity with the community will help guide a thoughtful and informative discussion of issues important to local schools and families.
The forum continues an election-season tradition sponsored by the Coronado Democratic Club to help inform voters and provide candidates with an opportunity to answer questions, discuss their priorities, and meet members of the community.
The forum is free and open to the public, and residents of all political affiliations are encouraged to attend.

The event will be held in the Winn Room at the Coronado Public Library, 640 Orange Avenue. Doors will open at 10:30 a.m., with the program beginning at 11:00 a.m.
The Coronado Democratic Club encourages community members to attend, hear directly from the candidates, and learn more about their views before casting their ballots in the November election.
