Join thousands of riders across San Diego by biking to work, school, or anywhere in the region. Cyclists can stop by and pick up a free t-shirt and snacks at the City of Coronado’s pit stop between 6 and 9 am – near the Community Center, on the Coronado promenade.
In celebration of National Bike Month, SANDAG invites the San Diego region to participate in Bike Anywhere Day from 6:30 to 9:30 am on Thursday, May 15. SANDAG has hosted the annual biking event in the region for more than 30 years. Bike Anywhere Day aims to alleviate traffic and reduce air pollution while promoting biking as a fun, sustainable, and healthy transportation choice.
Bike Anywhere Day is a free event open to everyone. It encourages participants to bike to work, school, or anywhere. Participants can pedal to one of 100 pit stops across the region to pick up a free commemorative Bike Anywhere Day 2025 t-shirt, while supplies last.

In 2024, participants made more than 9,000 visits to pit stops across the San Diego region.
Participants who register will receive a free t-shirt at a Bike Anywhere Day Pit stop on May 15. They will also be offered fun and engaging opportunities to take breaks with refreshments and snacks, while supplies last. Pit stop hosts include community organizations, local businesses, healthcare providers, schools, government agencies, and event sponsors.
This year, eligible participants who register in advance will be automatically entered into the Bike Anywhere Day Sweepstakes for a chance to win one of three e-bikes, powered by Rad Power Bikes.
On Bike Anywhere Day, riders can explore more than 1,800 miles of bikeways throughout the region, from Oceanside to El Cajon and Tijuana. The SANDAG Bike Anywhere Day 2025 Pit Stop Map includes more than 100 locations, with expanded coverage reaching even more communities and including stops along newly completed bikeways.
