The Boys Varsity split a pair of Central League games last week, leaving them with an overall record of 11-10. Coronado hosted Madison on Tuesday and came away with a thrilling 54-52 win. Myles Manning scored a game high 24 points for the Islanders and had 3 steals. Caden Gentry scored 14 and DJ Jackson pitched in 9 points and gathered 12 rebounds to pace the home team.
On Friday, Coronado hosted league rival Point Loma, hoping for a sweep in the season series. While Coronado was able to defeat the Pointers on their home court in January, it was the visitors who got their revenge with a convincing win. Final score was Point Loma 48, Islanders 36. Caden Gentry led the team with 12 points; DJ Jackson had 9 points and 11 rebounds, and Myles Manning scored 7.
