The 16th Annual Silver Strand Half Marathon & 5K is Sunday, November 15, 2015. The ONLY Run with with the waves of the Pacific Ocean on your right and the San Diego Bay on your left, finishing with a California Beach Party! Run along the “Silver Strand,” from Coronado to Imperial Beach! Coronado Island is located just across the bridge from downtown San Diego.
The Half Marathon & 10 mile course is limited to 5000 participants. The half marathon course is open to Runners and Walkers. The 10 mile course is open to Runners, Walkers, Skaters, Ellipticals/ElliptiGO, Hand Cycles, and Wheelchairs.
Welcome back skaters! Bring out your inline skates, roller blades or roller skates and speed your way down the strand. Helmets are mandatory. Knee and wrist guards are recommended.

Traffic Advisory for Sunday: The Silver Strand Half Marathon is set to begin at 7 a.m. on Sunday, November 15, at Sunset Park. The event is expected to have about 3,000 runners, who will run south on Ocean Boulevard to the Silver Strand, continuing south on State Route 75 into Imperial Beach. Coronado Police will shut down the southbound side of SR 75 beginning at 6:30 a.m. Both northbound and southbound traffic will share the northbound lanes of SR 75. There will be a single lane in each direction on the northbound side, delineated by traffic cones. A temporary reduced speed limit on the state highway of 45 mph will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate slight delays. Traffic is expected to return to its normal configuration by noon and all equipment will be removed by 12:30 p.m.
