DESCRIPTION:Emerald Keepers is partnering with San Diego Climate Week to present the Water Summit\, the kickoff to the second annual weeklong event that will run through October 8\, 2026. \nThe Water Summit\, which is free and open to the public\, will be held at Coronado Community Center’s Nautilus Room and will bring together Tribal\, Mexican\, local\, state\, and federal representatives to discuss the Tijuana River crisis\, ocean resilience\, and regional water security. \nWater summit schedule: \n• 4-5 p.m.: Paddle out \n• 5-6 p.m.: Tabling and light bites\nNon-Profit “Make Waves” Fair: Connect & take action with organizations on the ground\, including those focused on public health\, binational advocacy\, and coastal preservation.\n \n• 6-6:45 p.m.: Panel discussion\nTri-National Expert Panel on the Tijuana River Sewage Crisis: A heavy-hitting discussion to examine the current state of the crisis and explore what it will take to achieve a lasting solution\, featuring leaders from both sides of the border and Tribal nations\n \n• 6:45-7:30 p.m.: Breakout session\nAction-Oriented Breakout Sessions: Move from talk to transformation.
