DESCRIPTION:The Coronado Historical Association and Honorary Chair Art Wilcox invite you to a Luncheon Celebrating History and Preservation.\nJoin us for a special luncheon celebrating the Museum’s Collections and the dedicated work that preserves and brings local history to life. \nGuests will be treated to a behind-the-scenes look at recent Collections projects\, including digitization efforts and exciting new acquisitions. Explore artifacts pulled from the Museum’s collection\, and hear a special address from our Honorary Chair\, all while enjoying a generous lunch and spectacular views of the bay. \nYour ticket helps support the Museum’s Collections Department\, and guests will have additional opportunities to give through a pledge card or by bidding in a silent auction featuring delicious homemade desserts lovingly prepared and donated by CHA volunteers. \n7th Annual Collections Luncheon\nTuesday\, October 13\n11 am – 1 pm \nCoronado Cays Yacht Club\, 30 N. Explore how a collection of 1930s family photographs was restored and preserved\, transforming forgotten negatives into a vivid window into Coronado’s past. As someone who began her career in the pre-digital era\, she has an abiding interest in photo restoration\, digital archiving\, and historical preservation. In her free time\, you can usually find her browsing antique stores for old photographs\, hiking the beautiful Colorado trails\, reading\, or spending time with family. Marsha lives with her husband\, Ray Agostinelli\, a technology professional and creative writer\, in Boulder\, CO.
