Henry stops an assassination plot\, gives powerful speeches\, and wins battles against the odds. In the end\, he woos and marries the Princess of France\, linking the two nations. \nAbout the director: Tom Haine has extensive directing credits which include Tartuffe\, Romeo and Juliet\, King Lear\, Hamlet\, Macbeth\, Hedda Gabler\, You Can’t Take It With You\, Bury the Dead\, Rumors\, Dearly Departed\, Nunsense and Julius Caesar. He received formal training in directing from the Berkeley Rep and from Cambridge University in the UK. He also trained with the Old Globe’s Jonathan McMurtry\, Dakin Matthews\, and Brendon Fox and with San Diego Rep’s Todd Salovey and Sam Woodhouse. DESCRIPTION:Have you always enjoyed telling stories? Ever considered storytelling in front of an audience? The Storytelling Institute\, a free six-week course presented by the Storytellers of San Diego\, is open to everyone who would like to hone their skills in this ancient art form. The Institute culminates in a storytelling slot for each participant at the San Diego Storytelling Festival here at the Coronado Public Library on March 18. \nRegistration is suggested (but not required\, nor is attendance at every session). DESCRIPTION:This course will feature poems\, both historic and contemporary\, which enjoy iconic status. These poems\, as well as their authors\, are acknowledged as widely recognized and admired as having exceptional influence. All class members are encouraged to contribute their ideas and perceptions of the poems\, enriching the discussions for everyone in attendance. \n\nChuck Kamar received his bachelor’s from Boston State and his master’s from Boston University. He taught for 34 years in the Newton Public Schools\, the last 20 of which where at Newton North High School. In 1998 he won the Paul E. Elicker Award for Excellence in Teaching.
