Her love for the arts began in her early adolescent years and was nourished throughout adulthood. The inspiration for her creations comes from a love for the natural world as well as her passion for spirituality and the yogic arts. Her media include acrylics\, oils\, charcoal\, and graphite. \nWhen Anna isn’t creating art\, she is enriching the minds of the little ones as an early childcare teacher who graduated from San Diego State University. She also loves to teach art to children. Currently\, Anna is a graduate student at the University of California\, San Diego where she is studying to obtain her teaching credential in Elementary Education. She loves the sun\, surfing\, and being outdoors.

No business or contractor-generated waste is permitted. \nHousehold products containing toxic chemicals become hazardous waste when you decide to dispose of them. Never throw hazardous products in the trash\, as the toxic chemicals may harm the environment and sanitation workers\, and start fires in trash trucks. Never pour hazardous products into a sink or storm drain. It is dangerous and they will end up in our environment polluting the air\, water and soil. The City of Coronado’s HHW program is available so that all residents in the community can safely dispose of their toxic\, hazardous waste. \nMore details HERE.

This week’s series will feature flutist and saxophonist Adrienne Nims. \n\nAdrienne Nims is a flutist and saxophonist whose passionate energy is well acclaimed. Though her early formal training focused on classical music\, she quickly developed a deep interest in jazz and world music. In addition to piano and flute\, by age 13 she was also playing the saxophone and performing professionally in big bands and classical ensembles. Adrienne’s group\, Sprit Wind\, has performed at venues such as the Getty Museum of Los Angeles\, California Center for the Arts\, the San Diego Zoo\, and major jazz festivals and classical music series. In her professional career\, Adrienne has opened for Spyro Gyra\, Kirk Whalum\, Joe Cocker\, Fourplay\, Don MacLean\, Boz Scraggs\, Steppenwolf\, and more. She is an accomplished studio musician with credits on over 50 CDs including her own\, and television soundtracks as well. In addition to her work as a performing and recording artist\, Adrienne is also an educator teaching flute and saxophone as well as a masterclass presenter for institutes and foundations. \n
