DESCRIPTION:The City of Coronado Cultural Arts Commission will host an opening reception for Textures of Community\, the newest exhibition at the C3 Gallery\, on Thursday\, October 8\, at 5:30 pm. \n \nTextures of Community features the work of 18 local artists and invites viewers to explore the layers that connect us and shape our sense of identity and place. Through a diverse range of mediums and artistic perspectives\, the exhibition highlights the shared stories\, experiences\, and everyday rhythms that bring a community together. Each participating artist offers a unique interpretation of what makes a place feel like home\, creating an exhibition that celebrates the creativity and artistic talent of the Coronado community. \nThe opening reception will offer guests an opportunity to meet participating artists\, experience the exhibition\, and enjoy an evening of art and community. The reception will also feature light refreshments and an interactive art experience for guests to engage with the theme in a creative\, hands-on way. \nThe Textures of Community exhibition will be on display at the C3 Gallery\, located within the Coronado Community Center at 1845 Strand Way\, through January 20\, 2027. The gallery provides an opportunity for the community to experience original artwork by local artists in a welcoming public space. \nThe City of Coronado invites residents and visitors to attend the opening reception for Textures of Community at the C3 Gallery and enjoy an evening celebrating local art and artists.

As someone who began her career in the pre-digital era\, she has an abiding interest in photo restoration\, digital archiving\, and historical preservation. In her free time\, you can usually find her browsing antique stores for old photographs\, hiking the beautiful Colorado trails\, reading\, or spending time with family. Marsha lives with her husband\, Ray Agostinelli\, a technology professional and creative writer\, in Boulder\, CO.
