DESCRIPTION:On Saturday and Sunday\, June 4 and 5\, the Coronado Tennis Association\, in concert with Impact Activities\, will be hosting the once very popular\, fun\, competitive and much awaited Crown Cup doubles tournament. \nFood\, refreshments\, a special goodie bag packed full of surprises and special offers from local merchants for all contestants. Winners will get a special prize as well as their names on “THE CROWN CUP” trophy to be kept in the Coronado Tennis Center Clubhouse. \nMatches will be men’s 3.0-3.5\, men’s 4.0-4.5\, women’s 3.0-3.5\, women’s 4.0-4.5\, and mixed combined 8.0. All contestants will be assured of at least two matches. All Coronado courts will be available for matches. Discounted entry fee for Coronado residents. This new 3.1 mile up-and-back course is chip-timed with awards for the top five cyclists and runners. Enjoy waves breaking on the golden sands on one of the most beautiful beaches in world. Share the morning with dolphins\, sea lions\, a variety of shorebirds\, and your fellow participants. \nEvery participant receives a beautiful long-sleeve tech shirt and a colorful\, custom designed keepsake 25th Anniversary participant’s medal. Afterwards\, enjoy the perfect locals‘ morning at Sunset Park with a continental style breakfast and a wide array of vendors. Equipment and training provided by the Coronado Lawn Bowling Club. Bring an appetizer and non-alcoholic beverage to share and experience the real social nature of this game. This family friendly event welcomes children and provides junior sized lawn bowls. \nJuly 21 event includes a complimentary BBQ. \nLawn Bowling is a game of finesse and strategy offering healthy exercise and comradeship to everyone. One of 33 such clubs in Southern California\, the Coronado club dates back to 1935. \n
