SUMMARY:Optimist Yard Sale Fundraiser for Childhood Cancer Research
DESCRIPTION:On February 22\, the Coronado High School Junior Optimist Club (JOI)\, along with the Optimist Club of Coronado\, is having a yard sale to raise money for childhood cancer research. \nThe yard sale is going to be a big one! It is scheduled for Saturday\, Feb. 22 and is located at 919 First street. The gate opens at 8:30 am. Please enter from the side walk on First Street and not down the driveway. \nEverything the Optimist Club does is geared towards supporting the youth of Coronado. The club also does beach clean ups\, volunteers for the recreation center’s holiday programs for children\, works in whatever capacity is needed for the FOCUS organization’s fundraisers\, and the club recently wrote thank you cards to the fireman who helped fight the Southern California fires. Their biggest campaign is to raise money\, along with the adult Optimist Club\, to donate to childhood cancer research. \nFor more information on the sale or the Coronado Optimists or the Junior Optimist clubs\, contact JOI club advisor and Optimist Club member Erin Downey at 619-675-1323. \nYard Sale Northern California May 2005.
