DESCRIPTION:The Coronado Democratic Club will welcome San Diego City Council candidate Nicole Crosby\, and Jasmine Truong\, Campaign Coordinator for Scott Peters for Congress\, at its General Meeting on Saturday\, August 8\, in the Winn Room of the Coronado Public Library. \nCrosby\, a candidate for San Diego City Council District 2\, will be the meeting’s featured speaker. She will provide an update on her campaign and discuss the priorities and issues shaping her race ahead of the November election. Her presentation will be followed by an opportunity for questions from attendees. \nTruong will provide an update related to Congressman Scott Peters and his campaign for reelection in California’s 50th Congressional District. Her remarks will address current federal issues and ways local Democrats can remain informed and engaged during the 2026 election season. \nThe program will also include reports and updates from representatives of other Democratic elected officials. \nDoors will open at 10:30 a.m. for coffee\, conversation\, and a half-hour social gathering. The meeting will begin at 11 a.m. and conclude at 12:30 p.m. \nThe meeting will be held in the Winn Room of the Coronado Public Library\, 640 Orange Avenue. \n
