DESCRIPTION:Coronado Real Estate Association Hosts a Clothing Drive Supporting the Alpha Project \nOn Saturday\, March 29\, 2025 from 9 to 11 am\, the Coronado Real Estate Association\, CREA CARES\, will host a collection drive to support the Alpha Project\, a local nonprofit human services organization. Donation items can be dropped off at the U.S. Bank Parking Lot at 800 Orange Ave. \nThe Alpha Project is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) with a mission to empower individuals\, families\, and communities by providing work\, recovery\, and support services to people who are motivated to change their lives and achieve self-sufficiency. Alpha Project operates numerous programs serving over 4\,000 people daily. The agency has created over 600 units of affordable rental housing projects and sponsors homeownership programs. \nCREA’s donations will be delivered directly to the Alpha Project’s outreach center\, the Temporary Bridge Shelter\, located at 1535 Newton Ave\, San Diego\, 92113. Donation items can be dropped off directly at this location throughout the year. In addition\, donations can be made online directly to the Alpha Project. Monetary donations by check can be made payable to: The Alpha Project\, Tax ID 33-02-15585. \nDue to the Temporary Bridge Shelter housing only men and women 18 years and older\, children’s clothing is not requested. Donation items needed include: \n\nHygiene products\nTowels\, twin sheets\, pillows\, and blankets\nMen’s and women’s clothing in good condition\nCoats\nShoes\nNew socks\nNew underwear\n\n \nCREA is a member’s only group composed of REALTORS® and Affiliates\, who provide an array of services within the Real Estate Industry.  CREA breakfast meetings and pitch session are held every Wednesday (except the 5th Wednesday of the month) at 9:00 am located at the Coronado Yacht Club. Submitted photo / CWC\nThe Coronado Woman’s Club (CWC) welcomes you to bring your boxes of documents to be shredded at their Shredding Event on Saturday\, March 29\, from 10 am to 12 pm. The team will be located in the parking lot behind US Bank (800 Orange Avenue). \nA requested donation is $8 per bag or box for safe and secure shredding on site. Thanks to the generosity of Blue Bridge Hospitality which underwrites the costs of the data disposal truck\, all proceeds directly benefit CWC’s philanthropic work. \nFor more information on the club\, visit www.coronadowomansclub.org. \n  \nThe next monthly CWC meeting will be held on Wednesday\, April 2\, 11:30 am\, at Stake Chophouse & Bar.
