SUMMARY:Coronado Community READ Kickoff
DESCRIPTION:The 2025 Coronado Community READ\, now in its ninth year\, is a monthlong program designed to bring the community together through the shared reading of a single book. This year’s selection is The Women by Kristin Hannah. \nThe Community READ will kick off Saturday\, March 1\, with a concert by the Summer of Love Band at Coronado Public Library Park from 1 to 3 pm. The event will feature live music\, a tie-dye activity\, and a pet rock station. \nThe event is free and open to the public. \nSummer of Love is the 1960s\, ’70s and ’80s Rock ‘n Roll Experience. More than a band that pays tribute to a single act but a tribute to the golden age of popular music. We absolutely love what we do and it shows! Summer of Love Band begins with the 1960’s Woodstock set of music with tie-dye outfits and music to match. Our second set features the influence of the 1970’s “Disco generation” with authentic polyester-style outfits. We are here to have a good time with you and entertain your people. Light up the incense and get ready to ROCK! \nFind more information on the Coronado Community READ\, and the children and teen companion books HERE. \nKristin Hannah’s “The Women” is a Powerful Story With Ties To Coronado
